Today I was asked what a color script is.

The client saw a fixed amount in the estimate for this item and thought something was duplicated.

But it's an important thing in an animated film. It's the color palette of the movie, the key animation frames that depict the most important and vivid emotional points of the cartoon. They illustrate how the mood progresses throughout the movie and show the direction of the story.

Since our project was budgeted large, we allocated a separate specialist for it - a color script artist.

Creating a color script is similar to the process of working with storyboards and breakdowns. Breakdowns are necessary for the development of the plot; they detail it, frame by frame. Color scripts, on the other hand, are a set of key frames. There will be as many as there are emotional jumps in the story.

The color script artist's task is to tell the story skillfully from a color perspective.
